Hi, my name is Felix, I'm a computer vision researcher turned MLOps engineer.
I studied Informatics and Data Science at TU Munich, graduated summa cum laude, and started a PhD in 3D AI researching 3D generative models and body reconstruction. During this time, I also helped teach deep learning to thousands of students at TUM. In 2021, I quit my PhD to join the AI StartUp Presize, where I have built complex ML systems serving clothing size recommendations to millions of users. In 2022, I joined the core team behind ZenML, an open-source MLOps framework that allows you to easily take your models to production with whatever infrastructure and tooling you like.
Within ML, the area that interests me most is generative machine learning, especially image, video, and 3D generation. Even though my current job is mostly engineering, I still follow the latest research trends in that area and regularly post about new developments on LinkedIn and Twitter. I also like to take Coursera courses on diverse subjects like UX design, software engineering, or ML. In my free time, I enjoy learning Mandarin, traveling, and generally seeing and experiencing new things.
